Who processes a LUMA question
CreditDisputeEducation.com sends your current question and a limited amount of recent conversation context to the OpenAI API to generate a response when live intelligence is available. The request is sent with API storage disabled (store: false). OpenAI states that API data is not used to train or improve its models unless the API customer explicitly opts in, but default abuse-monitoring logs may retain prompts, responses, and related metadata for up to 30 days unless approved retention controls apply. Review OpenAI’s current API data-controls documentation.
Choice conversation history
The visible chat messages are held in the current browser page while you use LUMA. Choice does not write the prompt text or response text to your member profile, Document Center, CRM, or a staff conversation-history dashboard. Refreshing or leaving the page clears the visible conversation. Do not rely on LUMA as a records system.
Limited analytics
Choice may count approved categories such as opening LUMA, starting or completing a conversation, requesting a resource, or marking a response helpful. Those records do not store the prompt, response, email address, raw page path, IP address, or browser user-agent string. A temporary browser session identifier may be sent for compatibility but is not stored by the analytics endpoint. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honored for optional browser measurement.
Voice input and spoken responses
If you use the microphone, your browser’s speech-recognition feature may process audio under the browser or device provider’s terms. Choice receives the recognized text, not a saved microphone recording. If you ask LUMA to speak, the response text is sent to the OpenAI text-to-speech API and returned as AI-generated audio. Choice does not place that audio in your member records. Provider security or abuse-monitoring retention may still apply.
Employee access and review
Choice employees do not receive a routine dashboard of LUMA conversations because Choice does not persist the conversation text. Technical providers may process data to operate, secure, and prevent abuse of their services under their own controlled-access practices. Choice may review aggregate event counts or a redacted safety-event category, but not the underlying prompt through the normal analytics system.
Sensitive information and accidental submissions
Never enter a Social Security number, full date of birth, password, authentication code, complete account or card number, full credit report, identity document, tax return, medical record, or another person’s private information. Automated screening blocks some high-risk patterns before provider processing, but screening cannot detect every sensitive fact. If you accidentally submit sensitive information, stop the conversation, close or refresh the page, secure the affected account if necessary, and contact Choice’s privacy address without repeating the sensitive information.
How LUMA may use your question
Your question is used to generate the requested answer, identify relevant educational resources, enforce safety limits, and protect the service. Choice does not sell LUMA prompts or use conversation text for advertising profiles. Choice does not use prompt text to train a Choice model. Any future materially different use would require an updated notice and any consent required by law.
Accuracy and compliance boundaries
LUMA may make mistakes. She should not recommend disputing accurate information, fabricate a law or deadline, create a false identity-theft claim, recommend a CPN or concealed credit identity, guarantee a deletion or score result, impersonate a lawyer, or act as your credit-repair agent. Verify substantive credit-reporting guidance with the FTC, CFPB, the current regulation, or another linked primary source.
Your choices
You can use public education without LUMA, type instead of speaking, keep voice playback off, decline optional analytics through supported browser privacy signals, and refresh the page to clear the visible chat. For a privacy question, email author@creditdisputeeducation.com without including the prompt or sensitive records.
LUMA is separate from the private Document Center. Never paste a document into LUMA merely because that document is already stored in your Choice account.
