READINESS HUB ACTIVE
Life Skills Academy
Make everyday systems easier to understand, safer to use, and less likely to leave people behind.
Strengthen everyday confidence through practical education in money, digital safety, personal organization, communication, fraud awareness, and informed decision-making.
WHAT LEARNERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO
Knowledge becomes opportunity when a learner can use it.
This pathway is designed around observable actions rather than promises about outside decisions or guaranteed results.
Use common digital accounts, devices, passwords, multifactor authentication, and privacy settings more safely
Recognize romance, impersonation, gift-card, cryptocurrency, technical-support, and recovery scams
Compare contracts, subscriptions, financing, and major purchases using questions about cost and risk
Prepare for conversations with family, caregivers, service providers, and qualified professionals
Create a trusted-contact and recovery plan that protects dignity, choice, and independence
EIGHT-MODULE LEARNING ROADMAP
What Life Skills Academy will teach.
Each module combines plain-language education with guided practice, official or qualified resources, and a concrete addition to the learner’s final portfolio.
Money and household organization
Create a budget, bill calendar, account inventory, document map, emergency contacts, and review routine.
Banking, credit, and major decisions
Understand account basics, payment methods, borrowing costs, contracts, subscriptions, vehicles, housing, and comparison questions.
Digital confidence
Use email, websites, files, video calls, apps, updates, passwords, multifactor authentication, and backups with less confusion.
Scams and emotional manipulation
Recognize urgency, secrecy, isolation, romance tactics, impersonation, gift-card demands, cryptocurrency requests, and recovery scams.
Communication and boundaries
Prepare questions, ask for written information, pause high-pressure decisions, document conversations, and involve a trusted person appropriately.
Time, goals, and decision-making
Break a goal into manageable steps, compare choices, identify tradeoffs, plan reminders, and review progress.
Caregiving and trusted support
Discuss consent, autonomy, warning signs, records, trusted contacts, community support, and when adult-protection or professional help may be needed.
Ready for change
Organize practical steps for a move, job change, retirement, loss, disability, caregiving role, technology change, or other transition.
LEARN BY BUILDING
The Opportunity Portfolio
A Personal Life Readiness Binder with a household budget, bill calendar, document inventory, digital-safety checklist, scam-response plan, trusted contacts, major-decision worksheet, and 90-day goal plan.
HOW PEOPLE CAN LEARN
Digital convenience with personal guidance and printed pathways.
Adults over 60, first-time technology users, military families, caregivers, and busy workers should not have to learn in the same way.
EDUCATION-FIRST BOUNDARY
Teach the system. Prepare the person. State the limits.
Life Skills Academy provides general education and planning tools. It does not replace legal, financial, medical, mental-health, caregiving, or social-services professionals.
